Our Doctor
Dr Chong Chee Keong Dr Chong Chee Keong graduated from the National University of Singapore back in 1993, started his specialist training in surgery in 1995, and have been caring for cancer patients ever since for the past two decades.
Doubly accredited as a Fellow by the Royal Colleges of Surgery of Edinburgh and Glasgow, Dr Chong has since dedicated much of his private practice to the care of breast cancer patients, as well as those with benign breast conditions.
To that end, he has worked closely with other specialists (surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, etc.) to achieve a multidisciplinary view of managing breast cancer; and has also pursued advanced training on minimally invasive surgery for breast cancer and other techniques.
When it comes to breast cancer, besides his goal of treating the condition in itself (removing the cancer as well as possible), he also places great importance on the cosmetic side of it: many women end up losing their breasts after a mastectomy due to breast cancer, and suffer psychologically for it. Recognising this, Dr Chong has mastered numerous techniques to remodel, conserve, and reconstruct breasts as realistically as possible; thereby allowing patients to recover in a more holistic way. At his own practice, he and his team are devoted to the seamless and supportive care of all their patients.
